This Privacy Policy explains how Moodstreak (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Moodstreak mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

When you use Moodstreak, we may collect:

• Account information – email address and authentication data when you create an account or sign in.
• Mood and journal entries – mood check‑ins, tags, notes, and other content you choose to save.
• Device and usage data – basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and anonymized analytics about how you use the App.
• AI interactions – the text you send to the in‑app coach and the responses that are generated.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App and its features.
• Sync your data across devices and back it up securely.
• Generate charts and summaries about your mood history.
• Power AI features such as reflections or suggestions.
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it.
• Communicate with you about updates, changes, or support.

3. AI and third‑party services

Moodstreak uses third‑party services to provide some functionality, including:

• Supabase for secure authentication, data storage, and syncing.
• OpenAI or similar AI providers to process the text you choose to send to the in‑app coach.
• Analytics and crash‑reporting tools to help us understand performance and stability.

When you use AI features, your text is sent to our servers and then to our AI provider so that a response can be generated. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the App. You can delete entries in the App at any time. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize data associated with your account within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations.

5. Your choices

• You can update or delete your entries within the App.
• You can disable notifications in your device settings.
• You may request deletion of your account by using the in‑app delete feature (if available) or contacting us.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please keep your device and account information safe.

7. Children

Moodstreak is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may notify you in the App or by email.
